How do I communicate with my accountant?

Our services are virtual so we communicate with clients using email, phone, and video conferencing.

Can I cancel my monthly services?

Absolutely! We suggest a 30 day notification so we can finalize any outstanding items.

Do you prepare and file income tax returns?

We do not prepare income tax returns however we will work closely with your tax accountant or CPA at the end of the year to make sure you are all set. If you need tax help we may be able to refer you to another service.

Do you support cash or accrual accounting?

Most of our clients use a modified cash basis accounting method that consist of a combination of cash and accrual accounting. Under a strict cash basis you recognize income only when cash is received and expenses only when paid. In a nutshell this method is fairly straight forward however it distorts the real performance of your business and is not used when you have inventory due to the complexity.  For example, under a modified cash basis of accounting you record assets and depreciate them as you use them instead of expensing the entire cost when purchased which would distort your income.  This method is commonly in alignment for small business that are not publicity traded entities.
